Grace D. Rodenhiser
Sherbrooke - Mrs. Grace Darling Rodenhiser, 83,
of Sherbrooke died Friday in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital.
Born in Liscomb Mills, she was a daughter of
the late Seth and Jessie (Pace) Crooks.
After moving to Sherbrooke in 1929,
she and her husband started and operated
the areas first electrical and power plant,
they also operated the Winkle Rod Inn in Sherbrooke
for many years. She was a member of
the Sherbrooke Presbyterian Church for many years.
She was also a member of the Eastern star # 47,
an honourary member of the Past Noble Grand Rebecca 3,
Stellarton, and a member of the Southern Cross Lodge, Stellarton.
Surviving are a son Roy, New York; three daughters;
Barbara (Mrs. E. Winkleman) Toledo Ohio;
Lena (Mrs. E.C. Keith), Stellarton and Jessie
(Mrs. R. Maskell), Salem Oregon; seven grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Leonard.
The body will be in Veinotte's Funeral Home, Sherbrooke,
after 1 pm today, where funeral will be 4 pm Sunday,
Rev. Keith Lewis officiating, with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation.
