Mrs Anastasia Walker, New Waterford, Jan 28 -
The death of Mrs Anastasia Walker, 63,
took place in the Sydney City Hospital at noon on Friday.
She had been admitted the day before.
A native of Queensport, N S.,
she was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William O'Leary.
Twice married, both husbands, James George and Fred Walker,
predeceased her, the latter about 15 years ago.
She had resided in Victoria Mines for the past three years
with her son-in-law and daughter,
Mr and Mrs Roy Armsworthy. While here
she was a member of St Alphonsus Parish.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters.
Sons are Albert George of Louisdale; Eldon George, Petit De Grat;
Herman Walker, Armdale, Kenneth Walker, Toronto.
Daughters are Catherine, Mrs Roy Armsworthy,
Victoria Mines and Margaret, Mrs Allan Verchukok., RCAF, France.
One sister, Mrs Vincent Cahoon (Irene) of Lynn Mass,
and two brothers, Arthur in Queensport
and William, Black's Harbour, New Brunswick , also survive.
The remains were scheduled to leave last night
from the V J MacGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford,
and taken to Queensport, where they will repose
at the home of her brother, Arthur. Burial will be
held on Sunday afternoon with service at
St Vincent de Paul Church in Queensport.
