Mrs Jessie Margaret England, Steep Creek, Guys. Co. -

Mrs Jessie Margaret England of Steep Creek,
Guysborough Co., Nova Scotia, passed away at home
on Sunday, October 29, 1978.
Born in Whiteside, Cape Breton, she was the former Jessie Cummings,
daughter of the late Hugh and Catherine (MacDonald) Cummings.
She was a retired teacher having taught in Cape Breton,
Antigonish, and Guysborough Counties.
She was a member of the School Board
in the Municipality of the District of Guysborough,
as well as a member of St James Anglican Church, Melford.
She is survived by five daughters, Rena (Mrs Paul Boyle)
of Bedford, Lorna (Mrs Robert Josey) of Halifax,
Geraldine (Mrs Harold Parks) of Steep Creep,
and Calestine at home; Myra (Mrs Kevin MacEachern), Halifax;
seven sons, Howard, Albert , and Ralph, all of Mulgrave,
Earl of Port Hastings, Edward of Melford, Sandy and Preston at home;
three sisters, Bessie (Mrs Emmet Hayes, ) of Lower River Inhabitants,
Mary (Mrs Charles LeBlanc) of Stellarton, Sadie
(Mrs Alex Macdonald) of Dartmouth; one brother Alex of Dartmouth.
She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, three sisters,
three brothers and three grandchildren. The service
was conducted by the Rev Fred Hiltz at St James Anglican Church,
Melford on Wednesday, November 1.
The pall bearers were grandsons of the late Mrs. England.
They were Paul and Scott Boyle, Sandy, Howie and
Sherman England and Earl Parks.
