Edna Matilda Dort, 75, Canso,
died Thursday in Eastern Memorial Hospital,
Canso.
Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late
Mansfield and Lila
(Feltmate) Newell.
She was a member of All Saints Anglican Church and the
ACW.
She is survived by five Daughters, Rhoda (Mrs Alan Scott), Vancouver;
Sylvia (Mrs Ian Cross), and Beverly (Mrs Robert Carey),
both of Ontario;
Virginia, Halifax; Betty (Mrs John MacDonald),
Hazel Hill; a son Nelson,
Hazel Hill, four sisters ,
Leona (Mrs Fred George), Canso; Amanda (Mrs
Lester Feltmate), Tickle, Guys Co;
Bertha (Mrs Harold Maybe) Pictou; Jean
(Mrs Howard Greencorn), Ont;
a brother, Stanley, New Glasgow; 20
grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband
James; a daughter Beverley;
three brothers, Douglas, Gordon, and Coleman.
The body is at home. Funeral service will be held
Monday at 10 am in All
Saints Anglican Church,
Rev Richard Walsh officiating. Burial will be in
the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made
to All Saints Building
Fund.
