Myrtle Winnifred Horton
-93,
L.R. MacKaracher's Nursing Home, Sherbrooke,
formerly of Port Bickerton, Guysborough County,
died Wednesday in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Port Bickerton, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel
and Lilla (Kaiser) Kaiser. She was a member of
the Port Bickerton United Baptist Church
where she served as treasurer for a number of years and also a member
of the Baptist Women's Missionary Society.
She is survived by a son, Clyde, Bickerton West;
a daughter, Catherine (Mrs. Calvin Sponagle)
Bickerton West; a sister, Mrs. Frances Kaiser,
Bickerton West; a brother Charles, Bickerton West;
13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
eight great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased
by her husband Lorne; a daughter Clarice Kaiser;
three brothers, Arthur, Murray and Edgar; three sisters,
Mldred, Eva and Henrietta; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
The body is in Port Bickerton United Baptist Church,
where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today,
Rev. H. Gardner and G. McMullin officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Port Bickerton.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to Port Bickerton United Baptist Church
or Hillside Cemetery Fund.
