Gordon Tory Simpson
Boylston, May 12, -
Gordon Tory Simpson, a lifelong resident of this community,
passed away at Guysborough Memorial Hospital on May 4.
He was born in Manchester on February 21, 1887,
son of the late William G. Simpson.
Surviving are one sister Gertrude, Lowell, Mass
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held from the United Baptist Church
on Tuesday afternoon. Hymns sung were
"Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Forever With the Lord".
A solo "Nearer, Still Nearer" was rendered by
Mrs. Ambrose Brymer.
Pallbearers were Ambrose Brymer, Edgar Sceles, Donald Connolly,
Gordon Pyle, Everett Hayden and John Hayden.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
