BURTON TODD ANDERSON – Boylston, August 31.

"Friends and citizens of this community were shocked to hear
at an early hour Wednesday morning of the passing
of Burton T. Anderson in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow,
where less than a week ago he was forced to undergo a very severe operation
and four days later an emergency operation was performed
with a last hope of saving his life. The deceased was the oldest son
of Mr. J.T. Anderson and the late Sarah Anderson,
was born here and except for a few years spent in the West,
lived all his life here, where for a number of years he conducted
a general store and ice cream parlor and later years a fox ranch.

He was of a very quiet and retired disposition and owing to ill health
spent a great deal of time in his home where he resided with his sister
Mrs. Gertrude Bruce. Surviving are his heart-broken father
and step-mother, two sisters Mrs. Sanford Dixon,
Merrritt, BC and Mrs. Gertrude Bruce, also a half-sister
Miss. Florence Anderson of the teaching profession and only brother John,
manager of the J.T. Anderson, Co. Ltd. Miss Leila Bruce
of this place and Miss Gertrude Anderson now residing in
Newport Rhode Island are nieces of the deceased
all of whom have the sympathy of the entire community.

Funeral service was held at the home on Friday afternoon
and was largely attended and was conducted by the
Pastor Rev. J.M. Blesedell, who was assisted by
Rev. W.B.McLean of the United Church.

The pall bearers, life long friends of the deceased
were Jas. Bruce, Will Simpson, C.S. Strople and Edgar Hart.
Interment in family lot."
