PORT HILFORD - Annie Hewitt, 76,
died Saturday at home. Born in Port Hilford,
she was a daughter of the late David and Minnie (McConnell) Reid.
She was a member of Port Hilford United Baptist Church.
Active in her community, she was postmistress
for 25 years and managed a general store for more than 40 years.
She is survived by two sons, James, Port Hilford,
and Morse, Dartmouth; a daughter, Helen, Antigonish; a brother,
Stanley, and a sister, Eva, both of Port Hilford,
and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband,
E. Morse; two brothers, Percy and David, and a sister, Verena.
The body in in the family residence, Port Hilford.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Port Hilford United Baptist Church,
Rev. Dunfield officiating, assisted by Rev. J. Moore.
Burial will be in Cherry Hill Cemetrery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Cherry Hill Cemetery Fund or any charity.
