FURLONG, Edwin Clarence - 81,
Sherbrooke, formerly of Indian Harbour Lake, Guysborough County,
died November 17, 1992, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Indian Harbour Lake, he was a son of
the late Edward and Carrie (Corneally) Furlong.
He was a veteran of the Second World War,
serving with the Canadian Army from 1940 to 1945.
He later operated a trucking business in Guysborough County
and was in the pulpwood and Christmas tree industry.
He is survived by two brothers, James, Port Hilford,
Guysborough County; Percy, Dunnville, Ont;
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
three brothers, Bernard, Murray, Frank;
two sisters, Myra, Blanche. The body is in
Port Hilford United Baptist Church, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
where funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday,
Rev. Roland Kelly officiating. Burial will be
in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Indian Harbour Lake.
