Edison James Lumsden

LUMSDEN, Edison James - 63,
Canso, died May 9, 1999, at home.
Born in Canso, he was a son of the late Capt. Belmont James
and Edith (Roberts) Lumsden. He was a fisherman;
a member of Canso United Baptist Church; former member of the
Canso Volunteer Fire Department and was involved with monor hockey,
having coached various teams. Surviving are his wife,
the former Louise Conway; daughters, Diane, Half Island Cove,
Donna (Mrs. Dee Grigor), Thailand; sons, Dean, Halifax, Darren and Noel, Calgary;
sisters, Linda (Mrs. John Armsworthy), Big Island;
Ruth (Mrs. Thomas Hanlon), Canso; brothers, Belmont, Whitewood, Sask.;
Clyde, Jerry , Canso; Bruce, Kingston, Kings Co.;
four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Winnifred.
Funeral service was Wednesday, from Canso United Baptist Church,
Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in the
Fourth Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
