Elliot Joseph Lumsden
LUMSDEN, Elliot Joseph (Skinny) - 80, Canso,
died July 12, 1998, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
Born in Canso, he was a son of the late
Ernest and Eunice (Snow) Lumsden.
He was a veteran of the Second World War,
serving with the Army Service Corps.
He was a retired mechanic and the former owner
of the Canso Garage and was a part-time fisherman.
His most enjoyable pastime was looking after his horses.
He was also a member of Star of the Sea Parish.
Surviving are sister, Beatrice, California;
brother, Russell, at home. He was predeceased by brothers,
Kenneth, Ronald. Funeral was Wednesday in
Star of the Sea Church, Rev. John Morrison officiated.
Burial in the parish cemetery.
