RICHARDSON, Donald Isaiah - 76, Canso,
died Septmeber 8, 1998, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
Born in Canso, he was a son of the late
Isaiah and Cora (Carter) Richardson.
He was a retired fisherman, a veteran
of the Second World War, serving with the Queen's Own Rifles.
He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Chedabucto Branch 46;
Canso Vets Club; Star of the Sea Parish,
and an honorary member of Canso Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Ellen Casey;
daughter, Margaret (Mrs. Terry Horne), South Brookfield;
son, Capt. Patrick Richardson (Gail), Dartmouth;
sisters, Nellie, (Mrs. Patrick Parker), and Flora Smith, both of Canso;
brothers, Manford, Canso; Austin, Ottawa; grandchildren,
Donnie, Shea and Shaun. He was predeceased by brothers,
Lloyd, Joseph, Stanley and Arthur; sisters, Jeannie, Hilda, Eva,
Leona and Cora. Funeral service was Thursday
in Star of the Sea Church, Canso,
Rev. John Morrison officated Burial was in the
parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made
to Eastern Memorial Hospital Foundation.
