Harry Arthur Dowling

Harry Arthur Dowling, 41, of 101 Spring Avenue, Dartmouth,
died Thursday (February 3, 1983)
in Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Louisburg, he was a son of
Sadie (MacIntyre) and the late Samuel Dowling.
He was a marine engineer with the department of transport,
and served on the Coast Guard ships
Sir John A. Macdonald and the Thomas Carleton.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ruby Sceles; a son Stephen, Myra;
two daughters, Cathy, Myra; Diana, at home.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol.
The body is in J. Albert Walker's Funeral Home, Dartmouth.
Funeral will be 2pm Sunday in Woodlawn United Church,
Rev. Ron Dempsey officiating, with burial 1pm Monday
in Manchester Cemetery, Guysborough.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
