77, Half Island Cove, died July 16, 1996, at home.
Born in Half Island Cove, he was a son of
the late Daniel and Mary (Grover) Hendsbee.
He was a retired fisherman and a member of
Half Island Cove Baptist Church. Surviving are
his wife the former Mamie Greencorn; daughters, Marion
(Mrs. Wayne Hendsbee), Half Island Cove; Doris Creamer, Phillips Harbour;
Brenda (Mrs. Bill Richards), Canso; Donna (Mrs. Dorian Casey),
Little Dover; Doug, Brantford, Ont; Seaward, Barrie, Ont;
Havelock, Wallace, John, Half island Cove; Michael, Phillips Harbour;
stepdaughters, Jeannette (Mrs. James MacDonald), Cooks Cove;
Paulette (Mrs. Floyd Andrews), Half Island Cove; Lucinda Griffin, Halifax;
25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased
by brothers, Roy, Arthur, Daniel; sisters, Hannah, Alice;
granddaughter, Charlene. Visitation 2-9 p.m. today and Thursday
in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral 10 a.m.
Friday in Half Island Cove Baptist Church,
Rev David Wheeler officiating. Burial in
Bayview Cemetery, Half Island Cove. Donations to
Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
