Leonard C. Tibert - Marie Joseph, Guysborough County -
Funeral service was held here Sunday in St. Matthew’s Church
for Leonard Courtney Tibert, 66,
of Marie Joseph, who died Friday
in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.
Rev. Peter Young officiated and the burial was
in the church cemetery. Born in Liscombe Mills,
he was a son of the late William and Eva (MacDonald) Tibert.
He served overseas during the Second World War with the West Novies.
He worked with the Canadian Coast Guard
in Dartmouth for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, the former
Emily Mullins; three daughters, Linda (Mrs. John Pye), Dartmouth;
Doris and Amanda, at home; two sons, Clarence,
Halifax; Leonard Jr., at home;
eight brothers, Cecil, Lawrence, Melvin, Robert,
Steven, Everett, Chudleigh and Obert;
three sisters, Mary, Joyce and Ruby;
three grandchildren. He was predeceased by
three brothers, Roland, Scott and John;
two sisters, Odessa and Lelia.
