Obituary for Cecil L. Lipsett

PORT SHOREHAM - Cecil L. Lipsett, 76,
of 2740 Swaine St., Halifax, died
Friday
in Port Shoreham. Born in Port Shoreham,
he was a son of the late
Thomas and Georgina (MacMasters) Lipsett.
After retiring from HMC Dockyard in
Halifax,
he owned and operated Bixby's Burner Service.
He was a member of
West End Baptist Church
and Central Baptist Church, Halifax, and was active
in both churches.
He was the emeritus deacon of West End Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bessie Richardson;
two daughters,
Vivian (Mrs. Edwin Eisener),
New Germany, Mrs. Helen McGaw, Dartmouth; a son,
Roy, Montreal; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was
predeceased by a brother, Elmer.
The body is in Boylston United Baptist
Church, Boylston,
where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday,
Rev.
Timothy Fraser officiating. Memorial service will 7 p.m.
Wednesday in West
End Baptist Church, Halifax.
Burial will be in Manchester Cemetery. Donations
may be made
to Boylston United Baptist Church.
