Obituary for ~
John Alex Cumming
Caledonia:
The death took place on Tuesday afternoon
March 6 at his home
in Lower Caledonia, Guys. Co.,
of John Alex Cumming aged 62 years.
Death
was due to heart and kidney trouble,
the deceased being ill for three
months,
but despite loving care and medical aid,
God saw best to call him
home.
Mr.Cumming was born in Lower Caledonia
and always made his home
there,
where he loved to be and he was a faithful member
of the
Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by a lonely widow,
two daughters and
two sons, viz.,
Mrs.Roscoe MacDonald of Sunny Brae and Mrs.Charles Burris
of Brookfield, Col.Co.,and John W. in Lethbridge, Alta.,
and Marshall on
the homestead.
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon,
the service being conducted
by his pastor,
Rev.G.Robinson and the remains were laid to rest
in
Caledonia Cemetery.
Dearest father thou hast left us,
And thy loss we deeply feel,
But twas God who hast bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal.
