Sangster, Katie Evelyn - 71
Tor Bay, Guysborough County, died June 21st 1993
in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Halfway Cove,
Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late
George and Mary (Greencorn) Greencorn.
She worked for 14 years as a housekeeper at the Victory Inn, Mulgrave,
Guysborough County. She was a member of New Harbour United Baptist Church
and Women’s Missionary Society. She is survived
by a daughter, Donna Goshko, Edmonton; three stepdaughters,
Wanda (Mrs. Lorne Jamieson), Tor Bay; Thelma (Mrs. Keith Brenson), Cold Lake
Alberta; Janet (Mrs. Michael Cottreau), Dartmouth; sister , Mamie Delany,
Queensport; 10 grandchildren; a greatgrandchild;
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
six brothers, Howard, Clarence, Lewis, Covert, Murry, Joesph;
sister Clara Hendsbee. Visitation will be 2-4pm ,7-9pm, Wednesday
in New Harbour United Baptist Church, where the funeral will be
2:30pm Thursday, Rev. Bob Mather-Dyer officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour
under the direction of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home,
County Harbour. Donations may be made
to New Harbour United Baptist Church,
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
