Harriet Letitia MacLeod

MacLeod, Harriet Letitia (Lettie) 88,
Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough,
formerly of Guysborough, died January 3, 1993,
in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Truro,
she was a daughter of the late Aubery and Agnes (Joudrey) DesBarres.
She was formerly employed with the ladies department of
T. Eaton and D’Allaird’s, Halifax.
She returned to Guysborough in 1959
where she and her late husband operated DesBarres Manor.
She was a founding member of the Guysborough Historical Society
and a member of Wesley United Church.
She is survived by two sisters,
Mrs. Truola Stanway, Halifax; Mrs. Edna Keigan, Guysborough.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hector (Chic);
two sisters, Audrey, Rita.
The body has been cremated. A memorial service
will be held at a latter date. Donations may be made
to Canadian Diabetes Association or any charity.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
