Robert Simpson
The Canso Breeze
On Wednesday last, there passed away
after a long illness, Robertson Simpson,
of Machester, in his 62nd year.
Mr. Simpson was one of the district's highly esteemed citizens
and his passing is regretted by a wide circle of friends.
He is survived by three sons, Frank in Boston,
Robie and Charlie in Manchester; two daughters,
Mrs. Osburn Torrey, of Jamaica Plains, N.Y., and Mrs. Gorden Scranton,
of Manchester; as well as four brothers, Alphonse, of Antigonish,
Frank of Cambridge, Mass; Buckley and Ambrose,
of Boylston; and one sister, Mrs. Wesley Hadley, of Guysboro.
Interment was held from the United Church in Boylston on Friday,
Rev. J.W. Hird officiating, in the absence of
the regular pastor, Rev. Mr. Whitman.
