Worth, Frank James – 80,
West Cooks Cove, formerly of Country Harbour,
Guysborough County, died Friday in Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Born in Country Harbour, he was a son of the late
Henry and Sarah (Mason) Worth. He was a retired
commercial cook, having worked for many years with
the Department of Lands and Forests. He was a member of
the Eastern Light Lodge 72, AF & AM, Guysborough,
where he served as chaplain. He is survived by his wife,
the former Edna Gillie; a son, Donald, West Cooks Cove; two sisters,
Ina Clarke, Antigonish; Minnie (Mrs. Gordon Feltmate), Toronto;
three brothers, Lambert, Ross of Toronto; Walter, of Country Harbour;
a grandson; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased
by seven brothers, Harry, Robert, Irving, Stanley, Everett,
Maurice and George; three sisters, Annie Vienotte, Muriel Feltmate,
Hilda Jarvis. The body is in New Harbour
United Baptist Church, visiting hours are 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4,
and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, where the funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday,
Rev. Bob and Lola Mather-Dyer officiating. Burial is in
Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour. Family flowers only.
Donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
