Jarvis Hilda Gladys - 78
Horton's Cove, Guysborough County died Wednesday in St. Martha's Regional Hospital,
Antigonish. Born in Crossroads, Country Harbour, she was a daughter of
the late Henry and Sarah (Mason) Worth. She was a member of
Wesley United Church, Guysborough, and a member of UCW. She was a member of
Chedabucto Chapter Number 43, Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a past president of Guysborough Women's Liberal Association.
She is survived by her husband, James; four daughters,
Mrs. Beatrice Eisler, Horton's Cove; Nan Feltmate, Guysborough, Mrs. Lynette Snowball,
Ottawa; Mrs. Carol Parks, Dartmouth, two sons;
James R., Fall River, Alan, New Minas; two sisters,
Minnie (Mrs. Gordon Feltmate, Rexdale Ont.; Mrs. Ina Clarke. Crossroads;
four brothers Frank, West Cook's Cove, Guysborough County,
Lambert, Rexdale Ont.; Ross, Scarborough, Ont.;
Walter, Crossroads; 16 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Muriel, Annie; seven brothers,
Stanley, Harry, Robert, Irving, Everett, Maurice, George.
The body is in Wesley United Church, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
and where an Eastern Star service will be 7:30 p.m. today,
and where funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev Karen MacLeod,
assisted by Rev. Stewart McLearn, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Nova Scotia Heart Foundation or Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
