Gosbee, Joseph Morton – 84, Guysborough,
died June 3, 1992 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Born in Roachvale, Guysborough County, he was a son of
the late Joseph and Eliza (Reynold) Gosbee.
He was a retired general merchant,
member of Eastern Light Masonic Lodge No. 72
and a member of Wesley United Church, Guysborough.
He is survived by three daughters, Mabel (Mrs. Ralph Horton), Roachvale;
Marion (Mrs. Leo Pelley), Guysborough; Mrs. Martha Kelly,
Halifax; stepson, Guy Borgal, Toronto; sister,
Mrs. Agatha Turcott, Antigonish; three half-sisters,
Bertha (Mrs. Harry Silver), Goldboro, Guysborough County;
Stella (Mrs. Gordon MacLeod), Westville, Pictou County;
Mrs. Margaret Zwicker, Dartmouth; half-brother, Victor,
Dartmouth; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Lorella Hendsbee;
second wife, Lillis Borgal; two sons, Laurier, Ralph; daughter, Muriel;
granddaughter, Viola; sister, Martha; three brothers,
Harry, Leslie, Wilfred.
The body is in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough,
visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Saturday.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Wesley United Church,
Rev. Stewart McLearn officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
