Connolly, Kathleen Elizabeth – 81,
Guysborough Intervale, died Monday at home.
Born in Sonora, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of
the late Ronald and Sarah (Oliver) Burns.
She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught
in Halifax and Guysborough counties. She was a member of
St. Patrick’s Parish, Guysborough Intervale.
She is survived by her husband, Donald A., two daughters,
Mary, Guysborough; Elaine (Mrs. Doug Davies),
Dartmouth; two sons, John, Borden, Ont., Kevin, Pictou;
three sisters, Martha Sutherland, Dartmouth; Margaret
(Mrs. Hugh McManus), Antigonish; Caroline (Mrs. Colin Duggan),
Upper South River, Antigonish County; two brothers, Dan, Gus,
both of Halifax; three grandchildren. She was predeceased
by a sister, Mary; a brother, George. The body is in
Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Church,
Rev. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to Nova Scotia Heart Foundation.
