Goldboro - Kitchener Russell Crooks, 71, of Goldboro,
Guysborough County, died Saturday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Torbay, Guysborough County, he was a son of
Levina (Webber) and the late Chipman Crooks.
He was employed with Tibbett's Paints for 25 years as a varnish maker.
He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Bell Smith;
a son, Donald, Goshen; two daughters: Joan (Mrs James Livingstone),
and Pauline (Mrs William Coady), New Glasgow; eight grandchildren;
four brothers: Elliott, Dartmouth; Cecil, Alberta; Gerald and James,
both of Ontario; two sisters, Velma (Mrs Stanley Baker), Isaac's Harbor;
Ada (Mrs James Sims), Ontario. He was predeceased by a sister, Viola,
and a brother, Courtney. The remains are resting in
the United Baptist Church, Goldboro, where funeral service will be held
Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Bayview cemetery, Goldboro.
Donations may be made to Goldboro cemetery fund.

Rev. B. Baxter officiated at the funeral.
