Bertha Helen Pellerin – 81, of Larry’s River,
Guysborough County died Saturday in the Victoria General Hospital.
Born in Larry's River she was the daughter of James and Lillian (Patton) Pellerin.
She was a former schoolteacher in several of the schools in the Larry’s River area.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church, Larry’s River and was active in
church and community affairs. She is survived by her husband, Allan;
a sister, Christine - Brighton, Massachusetts; five daughters;
Camilla (Mrs. Reg Avery); Bernice (Mrs. John Evans); Jean (Mrs. David Joudrey);
Esther (Mrs. Cyril Pellerin) all of Halifax; Margie (Mrs. Ralph Robertson) – St. Peter’s;
a son, Wilbert – Herring Cove; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Clara, and a brother, Howard.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Peter’s Church,
Rev. Doug Murphy officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital Building Fund
or St. Peter’s Cemetery Fund.
