Burton (Bert) Alvin Myers, 88,
248 Grant St., New Glasgow, formerly of Stormont,
Guysborough County, died
Wednesday, May 11
in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Fisherman's
Harbour, he was a son of the late
William and Elizabeth (MacIntosh) Myers. He
was a retired carpenter
having worked with Eastern Woodworkers and Maritime
Steel Ltd.
He was an adherent of First Baptist Church, New Glasgow, and a
member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He is survived
by a daughter, Florence (Mrs
John A.D. Young), New Glasgow;
two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jennie Johnstone;
two sisters,
Florence, Gladys. Funeral service was held
2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14 in
Stormont Union Church.
Burial in Stormont Cemetery.
