What are the bases of a friendship? How do you define “Best Friends”? Is it marked by time, by the things that you do? The way you understand each other? When you become so known to each other and you start to finish each other’s sentences, I think that that defines a “Best Friends” relationship. Just to say you’re “Best Friends” does not mean you are. Time can be a factor. It takes time to get to know someone that you meet. Being friends is on a different bias. After talking to some people about your feelings and sharing your differences, you can be friends. You can have a lot of friends. It is not the same, though you know each other, do you know each other well? Is it a long substantial friendship? If both people have enough willingness to be “Best Friends”, then it is considered so. I think that you don’t have to say it. You can’t name your positions. In a friendship, there are certain people you can be, but you can’t just name a position. There can’t be a leader or a follower. It should be equal. And secrets are non-existent. Even if someone tells you not to tell, you should tell your best friend if it is needed. Trust is a big word in a friendship. If there is none, then it is not a good situation. Having contentment and jealousy is bad. You need to express your feelings to him/her. There has to be a common ground. How else is it possible to be best friends without a common ground? Mistakes can be made and forgiving them makes you even closer. In the end, no secrets, equal sides, and connection bring two people together to become “best friends”.
