Character Info

  • i admit, a lot of these pictures are crap, but hey, i'm not the one who makes them.

    Tenchi Masaki

  • Just your average high school student. Tenchi goes to the help of a survivor of a crashed spaceship which turns out to be Ryoko. Thinking she is on the run Ryoko is allowed into the Masaki home where Tenchi's father is ecstatic that Tenchi has brought home a girl. From here things just get wacky and more women keep showing up and staying with him. At the end of episode #9 there is a hint that Tenchi and his family might have had contact with the Jurai (hmm... I wonder what that means).

    Ryoko

  • The "evil" space pirate Ryoko. After a battle with Mihoshi, a drunken Ryoko crashes on Earth where Tenchi 'saves' her. Immediately falling in love with Tenchi, Ryoko decides to stay at his house (after his Fathers prompting). Retains much of the same power as she does in the OAV series, she can fly, generate energy bolts, sword teleport and phase through objects. Constantly battling with Ayeka over Tenchi, Ryoko plays practical jokes on her just to get Aeka mad.

    Aeka

  • First Princess of Jurai. Escaping from an arranged marriage, Aeka became Tenchi's second 'love' after her ship crashed on Earth due to fighting Ryoko and Ryo-ohki. Continuously fighting with Ryoko over Tenchi, Aeka holds her own. Ability to create a personal shield and an entrapment field are among some of her powers. Eventually came to love Tenchi as she got to know him better.

    Sasami

  • Second Princess of Jurai. Sasami is the younger (and much cuter) sister of Aeka. Holds a crush on Tenchi and looks up to him as an older brother. She came to Earth to find her sister but ended up being stranded because Ryo-ohki saw a carrot on her ship as her, Aeka and Mihoshi were leaving, and rammed Sasami's ship (detect a theme here?). A very good cook, Sasami makes all the meals for the gang while they are on Earth (no child labour here).

    Ryo-ohki

  • The 'evil pirate ship', but incredibly cute Ryo-ohki. After Ryoko's battle with Aeka, Ryo-ohki was reborn and normally assumes cabbit form (a cross between a cat and rabbit). She is a most unusual creature, who can become an immense spaceship. 'Owned' by Ryoko, Ryo-ohki's favourite people in the whole world are Tenchi and Sasami, and her favourite food is carrots. We only find out in the TV series that Ryo-ohki is a girl when Bounty Hunter Nagi shows up with her cabbit ship Ken-ohki and the two spaceships fall in love.

    Mihoshi

  • The biggest ditz in the whole universe is Mihoshi. A detective in the Galaxy Police, Mihoshi crashes her ship on Earth in the battle with Ryoko. After forgeting the criminals rights, Mihoshi ends up staying with the Masaki family as she has nowhere else to go. A very funny character who never misses Moldiver (another Pioneer release), she also has the strangest run I've ever seen.

    Washu

  • Instead of being imprisoned on Kagato's ship as she was in the OAV, Washu is found imprisoned in the Masaki shrine. This is almost a reversal of roles with Ryoko from the OAV series. Being the most brilliant scientist in the universe, Washu sets out inventing more things and ends up creating alot of trouble, especially when she created Mecha-Washu and Mihoshi's personality was transferred instead of Washu's. After taking up residence in the Masaki's broom closet, Washu has 'renovated' the house with the addition of new dimensional rooms in the broom closet and the womens bathroom.

    Kiyone

  • Mihoshi's partner in the Galaxy Police, Kiyone is the complete opposite of Mihoshi. Kiyone is extremely competent and dedicated to her work. Always having to fix Mihoshi's problems, Kiyone is almost constantly depressed and rightfully blames all of her woes on Mihoshi. Let's just say that when Kiyone thought Mihoshi was dead she was much much happier.
