His Family?
A forgotten mother...
Hard working father and brother
From childhood, he was a sports lover...
Playing baseball, football
And the sport that made him famous...
Growing up compared to J.West
One of the fifty greatest...
The latest sensation
Light brown hair and white skin...
Tattoos on his shoulders
And always flashin’ a bright grin...
Victory, reminding some
Of Pistol Pete...
With behind the back dimes and
Blinding quick speed...
With a past that wasn’t flattering
Overshadowed by weed...
One that was blown out of proportion
By the media and the league...
His rookie year?
Brilliant. Led the Kings on the fast break...
But doubters still said he looked higher than the guys
From “Half Baked...”
Regardless, he led the Kings to the Playoffs
And they became...
“NBA’s Darlings” which was insane
It gave J-Dub his fame...
As a Sophmore in the league
He fell in a slump and haters started laughin’...
Announcers started askin’ “What happened?”
Fake fans got off of the band wagon...
They went to the playoffs
But J-Will sat on the bench and felt...
Horrible being over shadowed by
T. Delk...
3rd year began with a suspension
Something ’bout a drug policy...
But I was still a fan
And had haters mockin’ me...
They said he was “washed up...”
Which was far from true...
Even though he did seem doomed
Not having faith in his game was hard to do...
He was fined for makin’ racist statements
About Asians...
It was in retaliation
They called him a skin head just cause he’s
Caucasian...
Analysts talkin’ ‘bout how
“Bobby Jackson should start...”
Made me laugh hard like
When my friend Bart
Was on a date and started to fart...
Bobby Jackson’s good but
Jason’s history makin’...
Shakin’ defenders, dimes dropped
Ankles shaken...
Playoffs against the Suns
“Jason aint gonna make it” they said...
Trying to compare him to
Mr.Triple Double Jason Kidd...
But J-Dub came out
And exploded in Game Two...
Then doubters flipped
And they became his fans too...
He just smiled but then he frowned
Cuz he had to face the Lakers...
They got swept just like the Blazers...
Jason asked for a trade
And his Dad met with King owners a day later...
Hopefully next year
The mistakes and the haters will diminish...
