HANLON
William Hanlon was the son of James Hanlon and Margaret (McCarthy) Hanlon. The
family immigrated to Canada after the birth of their first child in 1844.
James died in 1899 @ 96yrs. The family was Roman Catholic and came from County Fernanagh Ireland.
James and Margaret had the following children:
Catherine born in Ireland in 1844 married Patrick Dolan in Saint John New Brunswick Canada
and she died in 1917
William born in Saint John New Brunswick Canada in 1850 married Catherine McCarthy
daughter of Jeremiah McCarthy and Mary (Hogan) McCarthy on 27 Oct. 1880 - William died in
1889 @ 32 years of age.
Johanna was born in 1858 and married John Dolan in Saint John New Brunswick (he was a
brother to Patrick)
