SWEENEY
Patrick Sweeney was the son of James and Mary Sweeney. James and Mary immigrated to
Saint John New Brunswick Canada before 1844 because
Patrick was born there on 25, March 1844. On 8 May 1877,
Patrick married one Ann Theresa Murphy in the
Assumption Church (Roman Catholic). Ann was the
daughter of Thomas and Catherine Murphy. He was a
molder by trade. They had the following children:
James born 1878 married Hannah McCafferty
Thomas born 1880 married Rose McFadden and he died in 1945
John Joseph born 1882 married Catherine Stack in 1910 and he died in 1951
William born 1884 married Gertrude Gallagher
Louis born 1886 died 1952 - never married
Ann Maude born 1889 died 1972 - never married
