Main Hall
A cavern originally carved out of rock, the main hall has been carefully enlarged outwards, using slate, to make the extension Threadproof and sturdy. A few deep-set windows look out on the courtyard, allowing light in. The rest of the main hall is lit by suspended glowbaskets, a system of pulleys to provide easy changing. A few comfortable looking chairs are scattered around one side, a sharp contrast to the other side, which is clearly a reception area for guests, with a desk and several more formal chairs in a neat and tidy arrangement.
No you don't see what you think you see. That is not Tarmel and a Journeyman moving a rug that looks suspiciously like the one that belongs in Cappa's room to a corner of the Hall. Really. The rug is laid out neatly and the pair hold a whispered conversation before heading back to the lounge. Apprentices probably noticed but ignored.
Upon her return Tarmel is followed in by Journeymen Chayton and Jacel carring yet another object (a bed this time) that looks like it belongs, well not here. It's carefully set next to the rug just so, Tarmel replacing pillow and anything else that had been on it before it's move.
Aimee, from her dozing perch on a chair, nods to Tarmel, "Hello." She does notice the bed, of course, and stands up, peering at it. "Master Tarmel?"
Tarmel looks up from what she's doing "Yes?" tone utterly unconcerned.
Aimee blinks. "Um, why are you moving a /bed/ in here?"
Apprentice Faillo just kinda blinks at the MasterHerder and company as she siddles on over to Aimee. An elbow is aimed at the fellow appy's ribs and a slight incline of the head to Tarmel's... actions. Faillo hides a laugh with a squeak and a cough. Curious.
Aimee gives one of those 'Apprentice looks' to Faillo, seeming to say, "Masters? What can we do with them?" before carefully watching Tarmel. "Master Tarmel?" she asks again.
'Because I want to silly apprentice' isn't actually spoken aloud, but the look Tarmel gives the questioning apprentice would certainly indicate that. She just shrugs, continuing what she was doing. "It looks better here."
Faillo sends a glance back at Aimee before gathering up the courage to ask her Master, "But... that's Cappa's stuff, isn't it?"
Aimee nods vehmnently upon further study of the furnature. "Yes, Master Tarmel, that's /Cappa's/ stuff!" The poor apprentice is very upset, and hovers along the edge of Tarmel's work, worriedly.
Tarmel nods noncommitally "Could be." Chayton hides a grin and he and Jacel head back upstairs. Whether they think their CM has lost her mind, or know something the apprentices don't they aren't saying.
Aimee blinks, but is left to standing. "But...Master Tarmel....why are you taking her stuff out here? Beds and stuff," the resurfacing word, "belong in Cappa's room...not /here/..."
Tarmel smiles wickedly, and it's an entirely odd expression coming from Tarmel since appys rarely see it. "Maybe we're repainting her room for her." Probably not, but the slightly speculative look in her eyes indicates they just might do that after all.
Aimee is still uncertain, but says, "Oh...well, then...maybe I could help?" Maybe she could spy to make sure they aren't trashing her room?
Tarmel smiles and shakes her head "That's all right. I've got plenty of help, and really don't you have chores or something you should be busy with?"
Aimee blinks at Tarmel. "Chores, m'am? No...it's /late/...I was just back from feeding Raph." She smiles back, not all sugar, but mostly, for Raph.
Tarmel nods "Studies?" She suggests, not really trying to get rid of the appy, but it's her job to ask. At this point down comes Cappa's clothespress, to be set right where it would be in her room.
Aimee is very confused, the poor appy. "Studies? No, m'am, Cappa said I'd done enough...I spent /hours/," the barest grimace accompanies this, "at 'em...Master Tarmel, that's Cappa's clothespress! And," she blinks, "isn't Cappa's room stone?"
Tarmel has spent most of her life confusing apprentices so this is nothing new. She nods "Yes I do belive that is her clothespress. And yes her room is stone, why?"
Aimee's brown furrows, as she thinks. "But Master Tarmel," she finally says, looking at the woman, "you can't /paint/ stone...at least," she amends, "and have it look good!"
Tarmel chuckles "Of course you can." The quartet of JM the CM has recruited continue to bring down the C2nd's belongs and very carefully arraging them just as they'd been.
Aimee frowns, and, for lack of anything else to do, twitches the blanket nervously. "Did Cappa ask you to do this?" she finally asks. There. Dare ya to lie.
Tarmel doesn't lie. She hedges, stretches the truth nearly to the breaking point, but doesn't lie. "Not in so many words no. But she was complaining about her quarters the other day." Yeah so it was 'I need to clean my room' but hey?
Aimee blinks, and looks again at the bed. "But...why bring all of these here? You don't want to," gasp, "embarress her! That'd be /horribel/!!!"
Tarmel nods at the JM who've now brought down every large piece of furnature from Cappa's room and have started moving via box the smaller things. She shrugs at Aimee "Oh I doubt she'll be embarassed."
Enraged is more like it, if Faillo knows Cappa. And, really, she does pretty well. The Apprentice gulps, rather loudly and decides to make herself a bit more scarce. Any connection with this little... incident surely won't be good for her health.
Tarmel takes a few steps back from the now replicated room and nods "Looks pretty good." The four Journeymen nod their approval then promptly vanish, the fact that they were under their CM's supervision will probably mean little to Cappa if she finds out who helped.
Aimee blinks, asking, "Master Tar/mel/," she beginning to whine, in her confusion, the poor darling, "that's not where Cappa's stuff's 'sposed to go!" Now just /let/ her find Cappa...
Tarmel shrugs with a smile "It does now. Don't worry, it'll get put back....eventually."
Aimee pouts, looking up at Tarmel. "But...you have to tell Cappa," she decides, blinking sleepily, which might account for her wierdo mood. "Cappa must," *yawn*, "know...she'sout s'where..."
Tarmel grins "I think she'll notice soon enough. And you sound like you're about to fall asleep where you stand. I suggestyou go get some sleep." That, phrased as a suggestion it might have been, but it wasn't. That was a direction.
Aimee blinks blearily up at Tarmel, then sighs, looking worriedly at the bedroom stuff. "Well...if you /say/ so..." She waves tiredly to the other appies, and the 'master, before heading off to bed.

Is what you think you see really what you see? Well if you see Craftsecond Cappa's room recreated in the corner of the Main Hall, then yes you see what you think you see. Every item has been removed from the Craftseconds quarters and the room neatly recreated, from the rug, to the desk exactly as it had been arranged upstairs. The perpetrator of this vile deed? No one's quite sure, but there had been talk of the Craftmasters office being deluged with puppies, and her suspicion that Cappa had been involved. But the CM wouldn't be involved would she?
