Deliverance
Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
At that time, in the time of the end of satan's rule on earth, Michael the Arch angel the spiritual high angel, opposite to satan in power shall stand up. He is God's good angel, the head angel as satan is the head of the evil spirits and fallen angels. Michael is the protector of Israel, God's covenant people. This time of trouble is called the great tribulation.
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
A greater time of trouble then ever before. That means greater trouble then Hitler's Germany that exterminated six million Jews. The Jewish people will be targets of the full fury of the devil and his antichrist during this time, and will live in a world that is in incredible upheaval because of the judgment of God.
This is the time of Jacob's troubles, as prophesied by Jeremiah.
Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Jer 30:8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
Jer 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
...and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
The LORD has made an everlasting covenant with Israel. He keeps his promises.
Gen 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
There is a condition to those who will be saved. Salvation is for those who are written in his book both Jew and Gentiles. I believe that most of the Gentiles who are saved will meet the Lord in the air before this time. Many Jews will die as martyrs during the tribulation, but they are not lost. They have received the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Some shall be delivered in continuing on earth, others shall be delivered in death, being present with the Lord. All shall be with the Lord for the thousand year reign on earth, some in spiritual bodies, some in fleshly bodies. It is too marvelous and wonderful for me to comprehend, fully. The Lord's ways are above our own, we shall continue to trust in him through it all.
First and second resurrection
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Actually there are two resurrection mentioned in the New Testament. Those old covenant saints who slept awaiting the Messiah, will arise when Jesus comes in the air for his church. This has been called the rapture.
1 Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1 Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1 Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Mat 22:31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
The damned will be judged at the great white throne judgement.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Some think that being a star upon this earth and having the applause of men is a reward and success. There is a better reward awaiting, those who may not be noticed on earth will shine forever with the Lord. Do not hide your light, let it shine now, so that others may come to Jesus. Be faithful to the Lord.
Knowledge shall increase
Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
The angel concludes his talk to Daniel telling him to write these things in a book and seal them. Seal them to show God's ownership and to preserve the word until the time of the end, when these things will be revealed and make sense. What will be the time of the end bring about? Knowledge will increase. We are in a time of increased knowledge. Computers, traveling into outer space, knowledge of the structure of things, such as DNA, and yet? There is much restlessness in the souls of man. Knowledge and science increase, but knowledge and wisdom of God is on the decline. It is a time of the apostasy, the falling away. Truth is not received, nor tolerated. People search, running hear and there, but make their own answers.
Amos 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Jesus is the answer, without him you are lost and blind.
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
How long will this trouble be?
Dan 12:5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
They are assumed to be two angels on opposite sides of the river, speaking to each other. This vision of Daniel Chapter ten through twelve, took place by the river. I love the river, flowing as the living spirit of God, so refreshing to be near. A place of reflection and prayer, this was where these angels were.
Dan 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
The angel answered, now being upon the river, standing and I assume not going with the current, a miracle. The angel was not speaking to another, as much as to Daniel and for us to hear.
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
With stretched forth hands above his head, he spoke. Three and one half years will be the time of tribulation. This time is the last half of Daniel's seventieth week. This time period appears in many other places in the Bible.
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Rev 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
And then Jesus shall return. All that satan had accomplished would suddenly be destroyed and Jesus shall deliver his people and reign forever with his saints.
Wait and rest in the LORD
Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Do not be concerned Daniel, these things are for those at the end times. Do not try to figure these things out, but write these in a book, seal it and it will be opened in the end times. The book of Revelation speaks of opening the book and opening the seals. It was Jesus who would reveal these things and more.
Rev 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
Rev 5:3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
The wise are those who have received Messiah Jesus from the witness of the 144,000 Jews chosen by God. (Rev 7) They are purified by the blood of the Lamb and through persecution, the wicked will continue to blindly sin, with no understanding, the wise will understand that shortly the King of Kings will return.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Whether by life or by death they would be with Jesus forever as God's beloved family, the Bride of Christ.
Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
The antichrist, or Beast will stop the daily sacrifices. So many believe that there will be a temple again in Jerusalem. Another commentator concerning the temple, referred to the church being taken away, the temples of God, who are the living sacrifices to God. I believe the Church will be raptured, and be with Christ so as to not go through the great tribulation. If not? we will still serve Jesus as Lord until we are with him forever.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Dan 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
Blessed is he that waiteth until 45 days short of the final three and a half years, Something will occur at this time, perhaps the judgment of the evil people by the angels. Soon he would see the Lord!
Psa 62:1 To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
Psa 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Dan 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Daniel, do not concern yourself with these end time things. Rest in the LORD and go about your life trusting in the promises of the LORD. You will receive an eternal inheritance. The same words apply to us. Rest in the Lord trust in him, for you have an inheritance incorruptible if you are in Christ Jesus.
1 Pet 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Pet 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Pet 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Come Lord Jesus.
