We forgive others who wrong us because the Lord forgives us first. It is in the Lord's forgiveness of our sins that we will find His Love to forgive others.
PS 32: 5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
JOB 31: 33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom.
GE 3: 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the
garden.
PR 28: 13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
When we sin, we ask the Lord to forgive us, to cleanse our heart and be renewed in his Spirit. Let us not allow bitterness to thrive in our heart when
a brother or sister sins against us, for bitterness turns into anger, anger into
hatred, hatred into despair.. rather forgive their wrong and leave all in the
hands of the Lord to judge, for nothing escapes his eye.
PS 32: 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is
covered.
PS 32: 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord inputeth not iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no guile.
PS 32: 3 When i kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring
all the day long.
PS 32: 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture
is turned into the drought of summer.
PS 32: 5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not
hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and
thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
JN 1: 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold
an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
And my sister said to me, " please forgive me?" My head still held the hurting
sting of her angry words, but my heart held the sweet freedom of forgiveness
from our Lord. How could I not forgive little, when already I was forgiven much? Yes, I forgive you I said... and tears rolled down her face of gladness.
PS 103: 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our
transgressions from us.
EPH 4: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
MT 12: 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
COL 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your
flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you
all trespasses;
COL 3: 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man
have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also
do ye.
Lord God, we thank you for forgiving us our sins and cleansing our hearts. We thank thee Lord for our salvation, for your dying on the cross so we could live.
We ask you instill great compassion and love for our brothers and sisters, so we may easily forgive them when they hurt us, we ask nothing more then we are willing to give Lord, give us the grace, the wisdom to always do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Lord we love you, we thank you for the blessings sent this day, and always we sing thy praises Lord. To you Lord we lift up heart and soul , in you we place all trust, in you we place all hope, our eyes are ever on you dearest Lord, you are our all in all!
