Up to the age of 28, almost 29, I had never darkened the door of a church, and neither had anyone ever invited me to a church service, prior to this one that I shall mention shortly. Up to this time, no one ever witnessed to me of the saving grace of God or testified regarding a personal experience of being "born again". Up to this time I had never read any portion of the Bible myself, but I did hear my Father read from the Bible on occasion, but I was not one to take a serious interest in the scriptures. The way of salvation was never discussed in our home and I never did listen to the preachers on the radio on Sunday.
Growing up, our family members seemed to adopt the so called "Golden Rule"...doing or treating others as we wanted them to treat us. I was fortunate to have parents that were moral people and therefore set a good example before us five children. What more could a child desire in life than to have parents of that quality?
It was in December 1950, while attending a Technical school in Eugene Oregon, I decided to spend some of the Christmas holidays visiting a friend in Escondido, California. While I was there for a few days, I was invited for the first time in my life to attend a church service. I readily accepted the invitation. Needless to say, I felt rather out of place and uncomfortable during the service. I was relieved when the service was over and hastily made my way outside. However, the uncomfortable feeling did not leave me. I was not consious of the fact that it was the Holy Spirit who was convicting me of wrongs (sins) I had committed in my life.
On December 29th (1950) as I was driving north on Hwy 395 and was passing through a spot on the map called Lone Pine, a short distance south of Bishop, California, I had a peculiar feeling that something was surrounding my car. In only a few moments I actually felt something, invisable, enter my car from the passenger side and immediately a fear possessed me. Before I realized what was happening, I began to cry out to God and repent of my sins. It must have been several minutes before I felt a heavy weight inside of me begin to leave my body and in it's place came an overflowing joy I had never experienced in my life. This joy has continued for 49 years. At that time I was unfamiliar with the scripture found in the book of Romans which states, "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". From that time on, my life was changed without even being knowledgeable of the Bible verse (II Corinthians 5:17) which says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new."
From that experience of being "born again", to this day, I have had the positive assurance of eternal life, and being a member of God's family. Romans 8:16 states, "The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit, assuring us that we are children of God".
Since I became a Christian I have had the privelege of investing almost 31 years of my life involved in Philippine Mission work. I am so thankful for the grace of God that allows me to serve Him in this capacity. I praise and thank Him for His great Salvation. I have that Bible promise that one day I will see Him face to face. I John 3:2

Prophecy given by Melrose June 10, 2001
This is not a day of abundance for MY people, but it is an hour for
liberty that the Lord paid the price for, that ye may be that which HE
has called you for. And, that is to be an example of those whom HIS
grace has been set upon.
Therefore, it is an hour of deliverance. It is an hour to be set
free. It is an hour that the Lord has designed in Person, even before
the foundation of the world, that MY people SHALL BE FREE! They shall
be FREE to worship ME. They shall be FREE to be instruments in MY
hands, to do MY will, to set people free. This is the hour of THAT
deliverance. This is the hour of the freedom that I have prepared for
MY people.
Therefore, set thine eye upon the Lord!! And look NOT to another
source. But HE shall satisfy thy soul. And HE shall bring thee into
full deliverance.

more words, because the Holy Spirit was still speaking to him.]
You need to realize we are living in a day of atrocities such as the
church has never seen since the early days. We are right at the verge
of something special. God's not going to let HIS children, leave them
along the wayside without help. But it is those ONLY that surrender
TOTALLY, *TOTALLY.*
I didn't hear all of the prophecy that came forth, sister. But it may
be in confirmation. But, if you are not TOTALLY, *TOTALLY* committed to
God you are going to see and experience something that you wished you
had never been alive!!
Those are strong words. I don't like to use words like that to try
and frighten people: this is for the purpose of PREPARATION, for what
is coming. Already we see a measure of it on the TV, or some other
means of making it known. And in some parts of the world, right now,
they are experiencing it.
A life is something that God treasures, your life and my life. And
God, through Christ, has made all preparation for everyone of us, to
be within the confines of God's protective hand. But if we think that
we don't need to follow that WAY, we are in for SERIOUS, SERIOUS
trouble.
And again I say, I don't like to use anything threatening. This is
simply a warning that God is giving us. He has always warned HIS
people of the things that were going to come. And we can either be
ready for it, prepared for it, or else unprepared.
I want to be prepared, FULLY prepared! And there is an anointing that
is coming. And it is going to break forth. And it is going to be the
manifestation of God's presence to where even the Devil is going to
crowd out and be gone. Listen, we have got a great savior. And He
is concerned about everyone. So I leave that with you.
Let God speak to your hearts. Get it down DEEP. There is one
priority, one priority: and that is to love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy might, ALL THY STRENGTH.
That is God's privilege to have that emanating from everyone of us,
members of the Body of Christ.
