Ten Commandments

The first four commandments concern our relationship with God.

Exo 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,

No one seems to want to acknowledge God, or to hear him in our nations public life. If we do not speak of God, who will? Let us hear what God spoke to Moses regarding his laws. These are called the ten commandments.

1st Commandment

Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

I AM -- He is the Master, the God of Israel that heard their cries as they were slaves in the world; Egypt. He brought them out of bondage. Now they must learn of him and his holy will or laws to follow. Later he would offer freedom from sins bondage through his Son, Jesus Christ. Isaiah spoke of his coming seven hundred years before he came.

Isa 61:1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

I AM, I AM in all times God; past , present and future. I AM eternal God.

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

No foreign gods, no idols, not yourself as god, nothing that you worship, obey or are given completely too, but the LORD God of Israel.

When God is removed from schools and public life, something must fill the void. In schools, man is taught as the source of all things. Secular humanism is taught. Others look to nature, putting man as part of the harmony of nature. People looking for more have turned to other idol worshipping religions and many are becoming pagans. The fastest growing pagan religion is Wicca. It is as witchcraft, where the person is supreme, casting spells and gathering energy from the universal force. We must stay away from these things and put God as supreme.

Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

One God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. These are manifested from one God who is Spirit. All three have worked together in creation.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God the Father created the heavens and the earth.

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The Holy Spirit was active in creation.

Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God the Word, spoke and it was so. Jesus is God the Word. They all worked together, not apart.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The only time God separated from Jesus, was when Jesus took our sins upon himself on the cross, Jesus in human form took our punishment, shedding his holy blood for our salvation.

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit are active are together in bringing us to salvation and restoration as sons of God, created in his image.

1 Pet 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
1 Pet 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

We were chosen by God the Father to be sanctified, set aside to his service through the Holy Spirit, in obedience, through the blood of Jesus Christ into an eternal hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave. We speak of God as our Father, through Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son from heaven.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Israel , the nation, was the firstborn son of God.

Exo 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:
