Chloe pt. 4
Annie was walking back home when she felt it. Vampire. Being a walking magnet for demons had it's advantages. Sure she wasn't a slayer in waiting like Faith but she'd been doing all the necessary training to be a member of the Hunter's Guild.
The stake slipped down her sleeve and in to her hand just as the vampire stepped out of the shadows. It didn't even bother trying to hide it's fangs from her. No doubt it saw a little girl would be easy enough to kill.
"Ya know the uglier you are the stupider ya are."
"Save it little girl. I know who you are and I'm gonna have me a nice snack."
Annie was taken back by that for a second. Yeah most demons knew what she was but this vampire said he knew who she was. There was a big difference. Covering up her shock Annie smirked and took up a lazy stance. Well, at least that's the way it looked.
"So if ya know who I am then why are ya singling me out?"
" 'Cause you're powerful and you have a Slayerling for a friend. That blood is just as good as Slayer blood."
That's all she needed to hear. Andromeda sighed and raised her hand and erie green glow surrounded it. Most of the time she just preferred to stake them and save the magick for the big bad woogies that didn't poof but this one made her mad. No one threatened to hurt Faith.
The fang looked surprised as he flew back in to the alley. Annie's slight frame stalking toward him. Now it was his turn to look surprised. That and a little more than afraid. A quick chant in Gaelic called on the elements and set the vampire on fire.
It screamed and she walked out of the alleyway with a smirk on her face. Her eyes slowly turned back to their normal color of green from pure black. The witch whistled her way back home stopping along the way to pick up a pizza for dinner.

Faith heard the knocking on her door but she didn't make a move to answer it. She knew it was Annie. It was just one of those things that she could sense. Her best friend opened the door and slipped in to the room with a pizza box in one hand and a six pack of soda in the other.
"So I'm thinkin' you're pretty buzzed right now an' food would do you good."
The slayerling didn't argue she just sat up. It wouldn't help to argue with Annie because she knew that she'd lose. Annie had a way of making Faith listen even if she didn't want to. The faint smell of jasmine caught her attention and she looked accusingly at Annie.
"Where were you?"
"Out gettin' pizza."
She looked at Faith with a half grin then stopped when she realized what expression her best friend was getting. Oh boy can we say 'busted'? Annie on her patented puppy dog look and grinned sheepishly.
"I went to see Chloe."
Not even hell breaking loose could have compared to the rage that washed over Faith. Annie suffered through the yelling and the cursing and all the other angry rants that Faith did. Finally the slayerling sunk to the ground in a exhausted heap.
"You shouldn't have done that Annie Girl."
