Review - The Blair Witch Project

Blair Factor

The Blair Witch Project is quite possibly, no is the scariest movie I have ever seen. It's also the best movie I've seen all year. It delves into a side of the human mind that is never used in the movie theater: the fear of what is real.

If you don't yet know the tale of the Blair Witch, let me explain. The Blair Witch Project is about a group of three filmmakers who are shooting a documentary on the mysterious Blair Witch. They go into the woods and never come back. Simple as that. And what we are watching is supposed to be their lost footage, found one year after their disappearance.

Let me clear up any questions you might have. No, there is no Blair Witch. No, there was no documentary. No, there were no filmmakers. Yes, they all survived and came back. Nothing to worry about. It's just actors with camcorders, mmmkay?

But what actors! Michael Williams and Joshua Leonard bring a life to their roles that is nearly unprecedented in films today. And Heather Donahue, Heather Donahue! There are no words that can describe her performance. Well, I take that back, there's one: Oscar-worthy.

So I suggest that all you horror buffs see this film. Heck, even if you scare easily I suggest you see it. The more scared you are, the more fun it gets.

Grade - A+
