THANKFULNESS!

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 1 Chron 16:34

I may never see tomorrow, There's no guarantee, And things that happened yesterday Belong to history. I can't predict the future, I cannot change the past, I have just the present memories To cherish and to last. I must use this moment wisely, For it will pass away, And then be lost forever As a part of yesterday. I must exercise compassion; Help the fallen to their feet, Be a friend unto the friendless, Help to make their life complete. The unkind things I do today, May never be undone, And friendships that I fail to win, May never more be won. BEING THANKFUL TO GOD? When we thank God, it demostrates that we honor and praise Him. His words says this: Giving thanks in a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God. Psalm 50:23 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. Psalm 92:1

HOW DO I DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE OF THANKSGIVING? CULTIVATE THANKFULNESS- by giving thanks on a regular basis everytime we think about God and others. Everything that God created is good, therefore we should not reject it. We may receive it gladly and with thankful hearts (1 Tim 4:4) I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. Psalm 9:1 Everytime I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Phil 1:3

HOW CAN I ESPRESS MY THANKFULNESS? Through prayer, a grateful heart, singing and praise, by living as we should, and through service demostrates thankfulness to God. Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Col 4:2 When I learn your righteous laws, I will thank you by living as I should! Psalm 119:7

REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR WHAT CAN I ALWAYS BE THANKFUL? We must thank the Lord for being good and just and for who he is. We should thank him for his love for us, for his faithfulness, for sending his Son Jesus, and for his mercy. We must thank him for victory over death and for keeping his promises. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ. 1 Thes 5:18 Thank God for his Son; a gift too wonderful for words! 2 Cor 9:15
