Kings Assists Leader: Jackson 5
Struggling King: Webber 4-13FG's, 9pts
Summary: After a slow first quarter that could have been compared to a Division Five high school game, the Kings pulled it together with their bench. The Cavs are working on that lottery pick already because they only scored 67 points. The second half was very entertaining with the spark plug-type play of Keon Clark, Damon Jones, and Gerald Wallace off the bench! Damon Jones hit his first three shots from beyond the arc and he finished with a team high of 18 points. He ignited the team as he would spot up and drain his attempts. The Kings will face the bench-deep Portland Trailblazers on Thursday at home. If the Kings want a 2-0 record, they better get their act together.
Injuries: Mike Bibby (recovering from foot sugury), Lawrence Funderburke missed the game.

October 29, 11:29am PST - Chris Morgan
The Sacramento Kings open up their season tonight at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team I predict will have the worst record in the league. The Cavs made some moves in the offseason, one of which was a blockbuster trade which brought in Darius Miles from the LA Clippers for Andre Miller. I don't think Miles will be quite a Miller-type player, but watch Miles blossom as an NBA superstar. In Cleveland, they will let him run the show and ticket sales will increase due to his high-flying dunks and flashy style of play. (Similar to Jason Williams in Memphes last season.) Some are calling him the real deal, yet he's not even old enough to buy alcohol. He's got a ways to go, but he'll emerge this season. Miles is surrounded buy a bunch of reserves in starting spots.
The Kings on the other hand have a solid core and will have this same team for at least two more seasons. We signed Keon Clark in the offseason, the tall, lanky, shot-blocking forward/center who has the hustle of Bobby Jackson and the potential game of Kevin Garnett. No way am I comparing the two, but some night Clark can put up massive numbers in a very short period of time. Guard, Mike Bibby will be out at least four more weeks due to his foot injury and starting in his place will be the energetic Bobby Jackson. Doug Christie was suspended for the first two games of the season because of his fight with Rick Fox. Starting in his place, Hedo Turkoglu. Another season is starting and I'm so happy! GO KINGS!!!!!!
