Summary: The Sacramento Kings didn't play with much heart against New York as they lost to the Knicks, 88-95. For those who have been SKC readers in the past know that I'm not a fan of Chris Webber. Yeah, he got his 22 points and 11 rebounds, 22 points on 8-21 shooting and a dismal 6-11 from the free throw line. Chris Webber had the opportunity to punish Kurt Thomas, Othella Harrington, and Clarence Weatherspoon, but since he is so scared of physical contact, he settled for the perimeter game. This heats me up inside. If I were built like Chris Webber and I was and elite player like him and I was going against smaller players, don't you think for one second that I wouldn't take advantage of those circumstances. Kurt Thomas has been known in the past to be in foul trouble and indeed, he did foul out. ........I'm done with Chris! I need a punching bag!!! On with the summary... Let's just say, the Kings got ran! From the start, the Kings showed little defensive effort, but they were once again out with some regulars. The Kings right now are just substituting injured players. Scot Pollard and Hedo Turkoglu were both back but not one of those two played more than 11 minutes. Vlade Divac was back but now Keon Clark was out! It's frustrating to watch games like this, when you never know who's going to play! The starters played the whole game basically. Minutes were diminished for the Kings bench; Wallace - 11 mins, Jones - 15 mins, Funderburke - 5 mins, Pollard - 10 mins, Turkoglu - 11 mins. The Knicks had six players in double figures and Lee Nailon took charge in the third quarter. Kings bad defense and luck picking sides with the Knicks equals New York's first victory of the season.
Injuries: M. Bibby (foot), K. Clark (groin), M. Cleaves (foot) missed the game.
Other: Stojakovic, 19 pts, 5 reb, Divac, 10 pts, 8 reb, 7 ast, Christie, 8 pts, 6 ast, Jackson, 16 pts, Wallace, 7 pts, 4 reb
Impressive Opponent: Lee Nailon, 20 pts (Changed Knicks Tempo!)
Kings Record: 3-3

Notes: The Kings may be without Hedo Turkoglu, Vlade Divac, and Scot Pollard for this game also due to their injuries. If that's the case, it will be another eight-man team for the Kings. The Kings end the four-game road swing at New York. Allan Houston and Kurt Thomas have led the Knicks team thus far, and without Latrell Sprewell, it will continue to be that way. They are the only two players on the team to average in double figures. The Knicks lost to Milwaukee, 97-88 on Monday.
