We were ordered not to take pictures of any of our crashed aircraft, so I took this one of an Australian. The pilot died which was all to often the case.

This was a Russian T-34 tank one of the best at the time and much better than ours. Many of ours were "Pedestal Tanks". They were so named because after WW II many of the tanks ended up on pedestal's in town centers but when the Korean War broke out they were the only tanks we had, Truman had scrapped all the others so these Pedestal Tanks were refurbished and sent to Korea.
