Command & Conquer

Command and Conquer was a hit on the PC side of the market selling a whole lot of copies(probably over a million). This port by Aztec New Media(TM) does not disappoint. Much in the tradition of real time strategy games command and conquer had many units and different function for each unit. There are guys and there are resources and there are enemies to kill. The game is set in an army era much like today.

Something I was disappointed about was the interface. Boy is it clumsy! First you have to click to train a unit then you have to click on the thing for it to deploy. The same goes for buildings. Why couldn't they make it like Warcraft? Anyway one of the pros in this games that is missing from some other older strategy games is internet head-to-head play. The service Westwood Chat is adequate, though once again, clumsy. Many times when I try to connect I get a message saying the servers down. All in all command and conquer is a solid games though a bit out of date now. I give it 8.5/10
