Patrick Cashen, Halifax, Feb 2 -
The death of Patrick Cashen occurred at the home of his daughter,
Mrs L O Craft, Halifax, Wednesday January 28 after a short illness.
Mr Cashen was born in Port Felix, Guysboro Co.
89 years [has been altered in pen to read 79 years] ago,
and lived there until about a year ago when he moved to Halifax
to reside with his daughter Vicky, Mrs L. O Craft,
who cared for him very tenderly during his illness.
Besides Mrs Craft, he is survived by two other daughters,
Mary, Mrs S Jollimore, Marshville River John,
and Marion, Mrs A E Johnstone, Lakeville, Kings Co;
three sons,Michael in Cambridge Station Kings co;
Percy in Westwood Mass; and Thomas in Ottawa.
One brother John D of Port Felix also survives.
The body was taken to Port Felix by Mr and Mrs Craft
and burial took place there Friday morning.
His remains were laid to rest in St Joseph's Cemetery.
Officiating at church and grave was Rev Father Poirier, P.P.
