BOYLSTON - John Kenneth Carroll, 58,
of Boylston, died Friday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Richard and Mary (Cameron) Carroll.
He was a heavy equipment operator in construction and for the
Department of Transportation. He was a member of
St. Patrick's Church, Guysborough Intervale. He is survived by his wife,
the former Margie (Margaret) Purcell; three daughters, Marsha, Karen and Sandra, all at home;
three sons, Daryl, John Henry and Robert, all at home;
six sisters, Mary Ellen (Mrs. Bud MacDonald), Springfield, Antigonish County;
Dede (Mrs. Joe Kelly) and Mary Kate (Mrs. Clarence Farrell),
both of Antigonish; Anna (Mrs. Raymond Murphy), Ohio, Antigonish County;
Mrs. Mae Silver and Theresa, both of Antigonish; three brothers,
Joe, St. Catharines, Ont.; Jimmy and Danny, both of Beauty,
Antigonish County. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Margaret,
and a brother, Alexander. The body is in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St Patrick's Church, Guysborough Intervale,
Rev. John Jewell officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Guysborough Memorial Hospital Building Fund.
