The Voice Behind Phil Hendrie

Many people wonder how Phil Hendrie produces his show. Now it is time to reveal the facts. Phil hired a guy back in his Miami days that he brought out with him to Los Angeles when he was hired by KFI AM. His name is Jonathon Harris. Little is known about Harris. That is because his contract with Phil Hendrie and Premier radio prevents him from legally ever revealing himself.

Allegedly, according to Tomm Looney, LA radio columnist, Jonathon Harris was born in Daggett CA, the Gateway to Barstow. He moved to Arcadia CA as a young boy where he attended Catholic High School with Phil Hendrie. Harris was addicted to making obscene phone calls as a young man and thus developed an uncanny ability to do different voices. Phil thought Harris was very good with the voices and so he hired Jonathon while Phil was with WIOD in Miami and Harris has been with Phil ever since. Harris makes a good foil for the nice and kind Hendrie. Harris is very negative, crude, discourteous and downright unkind. These traits he picked up while in juvenile hall after one of his many arrests for obscene phone calls.

Harris does most of the voices you hear on the syndicated Phil Hendrie Show. He does not do Bud Dickman because when Phil refers to Bud Dickman he is actually referring to Jonathon Harris. So Bud Dickman is actually Harris' voice.
