Black Heart VIII


	Serenity woke up to the sweet melody of a Robin singing a beautiful 
song. It was bright outside, the sun was high. Finally the day had arrived-
Tommorow! Queen Serenity was going to tell them about everything! 
	Serenity rushed up and got dressed. She tripped on her way out, but 
contiued. As she rushed downstairs she stopped immediatly. 
	In the great hall, Queen Serenity was sitting next to Prince Endymion, 
Furmery was standing behind Queen Serenity with a straight face. 
	"Serenity! You have awakened so late! It's already- 12:15! There's 
much to learn," Queen Serenity said as she stood up and walked toward Serenity.
	"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to- I got ready as quick as I could! Oh, 
mother!" Serenity flopped on a chair as her mother sat back down. 
	"Now, it's a long story, so be patient. First, let us discuss Furmery."
Queen Serenity looked at Furmery. 
	"How is Furmery involved...well, back in the beginning of time there 
were two gaurdians- the King and Queen- who guarded the Moon Kingdom. They had 
to accept the Trust, and if they didn't, they would die." Queen Serenity began. 
	"But what is the Trust?" asked Endymion. 
	"You had to swear on your life that you would protect the Kingdom, and 
if you failed it and tried to leave, you would die." 
	"Oh," Endymion sighed. 
	"Anyways, I took in the Trust, but your father, Serenity, didn't. That is 
how he died."
	"In your time, you, of course, were set to marry the Prince of Earth-" 
	"That would be me, but we fell in love, we were not set to marry eachother." 
Endymion cut in. 
	"You have to listen! It's so sad... Right, set to marry the Prince of Earth, 
you, Prince Furmery," Queen Serenity gazed happily at him, the rest with puzzled 
faces. 
	Wailing in confusion, Furmery said,"But Prince Endymion is the Prince of 
Earth! Not me!"
	Queen Serenity just kept smiling. "Thats because, Furmery and Endymion, your 
brothers. The two princes." 
	And then Serenity saw it. How could she have not known before? Their eyes; both 
sparkling with humor, but yet serene, their noses; shaped the same. A million questions 
danced around her head, but of all, she choose this,"But if I was engaged to Prince 
Furmery, then why was I married to Endymion?"
	"My love, it's a confusing story." Queen Serenity sighed deeply. 
	"Tell us, oh mother please!"
	"Oh, if you must know. When you heard you were to marry Prince Furmery, you were
 depressed(Oh, no offense to you Furmery!). You would gaze at the Earth all night. Finally, 
Prince Endymion approached you. You two fell in love, and when Furmery found out, he 
committed suicide. Stabbed himself."
	"There was great mourning after that, it was such a sad time. Because, no one knew 
at the time, why he killed himself. Finally, Serenity, you told me. And I accepted it."
	Serenity looked from face to face, first, Furmerys; he looked pale and sick, Endymoins;
he looked puzzled and confused, like the rest. Her mothers; happily gazing at her. 
	"Why did you accept us?" Endymion stammered and broke the silence.
	"We all knew it was meant to be. Furmery and Serenity, well, it was close. You see, we 
had to find two perfect matches to guard the Kingdom, or else, disaster would strike. We found 
the two Princes, and knowing they were perfect, chose them. Of both, we took Furmery, for he was 
known for his braveness, and he was the eldest. But I guess Serenity just didn't like him. So, 
since Endymion was the next eldest of the princes, we thought he would do fine, and accepted 
him." Queen Serenity said slowly and took a deep breath. 
	This time, Furmerys face was utterly pale and sickened, but with understanding, Endymions 
was of love for his long lost brother, but yet angry he wasn't first, her mothers, still smiling
(which quite annoyed Serenity), and the other listeners trying taking all the information in. 
	"But, if that is true, then how come I don't remember? I couldn't have been that young 
to be married..." Serenity said lightly. 
	"It's all in the past." Queen Serenity said. Serenity knew she would one day understand 
how it was 'in the past', but until then, she would have to listen to the rest of her mothers 
confusing sayings.
	"Then how the hell am I alive?" Furmery stood up with rage boiling inside of him. 
	Queen Serenity sighed. "None of that language in my Kingdom! After you died, well,
you were reborn on Earth as a grown man, not knowing of your Kingdom, ours, or anything to 
do with Serenity.
	"Why couldn't you rebirth me or whatever here?"
	"Because, we knew the real Guardian was Endymion."
	Serenity stared at Endymion, looking frustrated, as he said;
 
	
	"I just want to know one thing." 

	"Why?"
