Black Heart II


     When she awoke it was morning and there were several people standing
around her. Where was she? What happened? She opened her mouth to talk but 
nothing came out. Then she saw her mother. 
     "Has she awakened? Serenity! My darling, I'm so sorry...please get
better!" Queen Serenity said. 
     "She has woken, then!" Serenity's old nurse said. 
     Everyone around her kept asking her questions, which only made her
feel sicker. 'Endymion... I'm so sorry' she managed to whisper. 
     "Serenity! Answer me! Please!" Queen Serenity said to her, and then 
turned around to whisper to the nurses,"Has she lost her voice? What happened
anyways?"
     "She apparently has a Neutron in her heart, and we don't know how she
got contaminated," one of the nurses said.
     Queen Serenity's face went pale. "A Neutron? Oh, oh!" And at that she 
ran out of the room crying.
     Serenity managed to spit out some words, "What is happening to me? Tell
me! I will not live in fear!" she yelled.
     The nurses didn't even pay attention to her. 'Why won't they tell me?
 If I'm going to die, just tell me!' she said to herself. At that moment
she sat straight upright as an image of Furmery came to her head. She covered
her ears and screamed. Screamed till nothing left came out. Screamed till her
voice was sore. All the nurses looked at her and tried to hush her down.
     "No! Stop it! Leave me alone!!" she hopped out of the bed and ran out the
 room and began crying outside. Yelling up to the sky she said,"Endymion! I'm 
 sorry! Please, Forgive me!" At that she took up a pot and slammed it into the 
ground. "It's all your falt you earthling! You! You! YO-" before she could
finishe she felt the light touch of her mothers hand upon her.
     "Serenity. Darling. Calm yourself. Let us discuss it in the Praying Room."
Queen Serenity said.
     And Serenity confessed it all. Going down to Earth, Furmery, the kiss, 
his house, her running away, everything. As her mother listened her face went
paler and paler. Serenity was just talking about sneaking in when her mother
interupted. 
     "Serenity, that Earthling is dangerous. Stay away from him. Do not ever
go to Earth again!" Queen Serenity shouted. Serenity bit her lip and  nodded a 
fake 'yes'.
     That night, she crept out of bed and gazed at the Earth. But, that kiss.
It felt ever so natural. But she hated Furmery! Who was he, anyways?
     Just as she was about to walk back in the Palace she felt a hand grasp
 her shoulder. Too scared to turn around, she stood there like a guinnea pig 
in his grasp. Then he spoke in a clear, deep voice.

     "Why...."

     It was Endymion.
