The Chosen
Part of the glorious South tradition. The final
week of initiation would culminate in the "Chosen". An annual rite
of passage bestowed on one lucky new man. The challenge: navigate
through the dangerous web of terror (aka Howard House) with only a washcloth,
string, and rebel flag allowed as your weapons. The Chosen was outlawed
in the early 1990s.
